Bill joined Allaby & Brewbaker and became an insurance agent in 1983.  He completed the Certified Insurance Counselor classes in 1986, earning his CIC designation.  He continues to retain his CIC designation with ongoing classes, believing it is important to keep up with the changes in our industry to properly serve our clients.

He has served on several insurance industry boards, and committees.  He has also served on Insurance Company advisory councils.  He believes in giving back to the community that supports Allaby & Brewbaker, and over the years has served on Church, Hospital, Library & Downtown Business boards.  Bill encourages support of the local community, doing business locally when possible and being involved in civic groups and local politics.

When not working, Bill enjoys spending time with his family & friends, boating in the summer and snow skiing in the winter.

Christopher Brewbaker has been with Allaby and Brewbaker since 2007. Christopher earned his associated degree from Lansing Community College in residential design. He is a licensed agent in personal, commercial, farms, life and health. When Christopher is not in the office he enjoys spending time with his family and hunting.

Amy Knickerbocker has been with Allaby & Brewbaker since May of 1997. She previously worked in the Personal Lines Department as a Customer Service Representative. In 2008 she earned her Property & Casualty Agents License and in 2009 her Life and Health License.

A graduate of Lansing Community College, Amy has worked in the insurance field most of her life including some time with an independent claims adjusting firm and an insurance restoration company.

Amy is a graduate of Ovid – Elsie High, and still resides in that area with her husband of 17 years and two teenage sons. Her hobbies include following the Detroit Tigers, cooking, movies, crafts, and watching her boys compete in one of their many sporting activities.

Jaccii Maylee joined Allaby & Brewbaker in 2023 and has earned her Property & Casualty Agents License and Life and Health License. As a graduate from Saginaw Valley State University with a bachelor’s in accounting, Jaccii has worked in the banking industry for most of her life, which led her to the insurance industry. She is very involved with the community, with being a board member of the St Johns Rotary Club and a board member of CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates). Jaccii graduated from Ithaca High School. Her husband, her, and their dogs reside in Maple Rapids. When she isn’t working, she enjoys spending time with family, camping, riding motorcycles, crafting, and hunting.

Jennifer Brewbaker has been with Allaby & Brewbaker Insurance since 1990. A graduate of Lansing Community College and St. Johns High School. She earned her agents license in 2011 and her Certified Insurance Counselor designation in 2018.

Kristie Johnston joined Allaby & Brewbaker in 2014 as a customer service representative in the personal lines department. She started in the insurance customer service field working at Quest Software. Outside of work Kristie enjoys spending time with her family, crafting, kayaking, and being outdoors.

Amy Brewbaker has been with Allaby and Brewbaker since 1999, she earned her bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Northwood University. Amy currently works in the personal lines department and with clients on their policies. Along with that she also assists with accounting, IT and human resources.

Michelle is a commercial lines customer service representative. Michelle started her insurance career working on the company side at Auto-Owners Insurance. While working at Auto-Owners, she worked in several departments. She started out in the file department, then worked her way into the personal lines field processing auto and home insurance. She also worked in the home office department before making the move over to the agency side. Joining Allaby & Brewbaker Insurance in 1997, she has worked in Personal Lines for years and then moved over to Commercial Lines where she assists clients with their Commercial Insurance needs. In her spare time, Michelle enjoys spending time with her family, attending children’s sports activities, running, crafting and being involved with her church.

Traci Kohagen has worked for Allaby & Brewbaker Insurance since 1998. During that time she has worked in our customer service department handling personal lines home and auto. She is currently handling our Commercial Lines and also performs some of our agencies bookkeeping duties. In her spare time, Traci enjoys spending time with her family, attending children’s sports activities, running, cooking, crafting, and reading.

Tammy Bengel has been with Allaby and Brewbaker since 1995 and manages the claims department. She earned her bachelors degree from Ferris State University in Business Administration.

My name is Brenda Thelen; I have been employed with Allaby and Brewbaker Insurance since November of 2007 working in the claims department and also at the front desk / reception area. I help with filing claims, processing claim payments, inputting loss information into our system and submitting tow bills and glass claims to the insurance companies for payment. In addition to claims I also work at the front desk / reception area assisting walk in customers, answering phone calls, processing Insured policy payments, and printing auto ID’s.

I graduated from Homer Community Schools and then went onto Argubright Business College for 2 years with a focus on Business Marketing and Management. For the last 20+ years I have lived in Clinton County and during that time I have been associated with Clinton County 4-H, St Johns Lions Club, Member of the Parent School Council and other volunteerism at St Joseph Catholic School. I spend my free time with my Husband and 4 Children relaxing or having fun boating and snowmobiling and I love to spend time in the kitchen cooking and baking whenever I can.

Mary Brewbaker has worked here at Allaby & Brewbaker Insurance since 1993. She works closely with the agents, primarily with farmowners polices, processing, making changes in coverage’s, and helping to keep your policy information up to date. Her duties in the office also include bookkeeping and human resources.

Cynthia Laich joined Allaby& Brewbaker in November of 1992. She processes Personal Lines policies and does our agency’s billing. A graduate of Central Michigan University, she has a Bachelors of Science in Business Administration with an emphasis in Marketing & Economic. The National Federation of Business was her first employer, then she became a licensed agent as a Regulation Officer in the Insurance Bureau.

After time off to raise her son & daughter, she became a Real Estate agent. She is a member of St Johns Lutheran Church, where she is actively dedicated to the music ministry both as singer & chime player. She is on the board and sings for the Mint City Singers. She is a military mother, whose son & daughter both graduated from West Point. In her spare time she likes to cook, read & travel.

Don Ward has been a member of the Allaby & Brewbaker Insurance family for over 11 yrs. He will be the person you will see taking photos and measurements of your house when we write a homeowners, dwelling fire, a farmowners policy or if you make improvements to your house, that need to be sent into the company. He also does our wood stove inspections.

Alexis Adams has been with Allaby and Brewbaker since 2021. She attended St. Johns High School and earned her bachelor’s degree in Human Services through Colorado State Global. Alexis has been working in customer service field for many years, and currently works as a Customer Service Representative in the Personal Lines department.
